No. 1389 - Geeveston - Huon Christian Church

Geeveston is a country town on the Huon Highway approximately 45 kilometres south of Hobart. The town is named after William Geeves, an English settler who was given a land grant in the area then known as Honeywood. The settlement was renamed Geeves Town in 1861 before becoming Geeveston.

The Huon Christian Church is located at Scotts Road on the outskirts of Geeveston. The church is associated with Australian Christian Churches (ACC), previously the Assemblies of God in Australia. This is a network of Pentecostal churches affiliated with the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world.
